The Wiltshire Towns Programme, operated by Wiltshire Council, has made limited, annual grants available since 2022/23 to support activity to improve the facilities and appearance of local high streets throughout the County. It allows for the provision of meaningful and transformational support to grow businesses and support employment to meet the needs of local communities.
In addition to the County’s towns, as a service centre, Pewsey village has also been entitled to and has successfully submitted, claims for this grant which so far has contributed to Carnival, Christmas lighting, the bike repair stand, attempts to expand the Tuesday Market and other projects to improve the appearance of the Market Place.
Funds are limited to a finite sum each year and letters have been distributed, inviting businesses fronting onto the High Street and village centre to submit ideas for improving their visible appearance from the street scape.
Funds are limited to a finite sum each year and the Parish Council cannot guarantee to support all applications. Any grant made available will be a small contribution only towards your costs; not fully funded. Works that have taken place in the financial year 2024/25 will also be considered.
