Pewsey Carnival is one of the village’s most cherished and historic events, first launched in 1898. What began as a small local celebration has grown into a much-anticipated fortnight of community festivities each September, bringing together residents of all ages. Rooted in tradition but full of energy and creativity, the Carnival features a lively programme including floats, music, street performances, and family activities, all culminating in the spectacular Carnival Procession. It reflects the spirit and pride of Pewsey – a celebration of local life that has endured for well over a century.
