The Angela Yeates Memorial Ground is owned by the Parish Council after being purchased in 2001. This investment was made to not only protect the land from future development but also to ensure that the land would be used as a sporting asset for the community. The ground was named after the previous landowner’s wife.
Pewsey Vale Rugby Football Club were the first, and currently remains, the sole tenant of the ground. In the first two years, after the purchase, the rugby club set out the rugby and training pitches. Mains electricity was laid on, two changing rooms and WC facilities installed and a 50 space car park built. Further improvements have seen the installation of floodlights through a grant from the RFU and a S.106 developer contribution from Bloor Homes.
Since 2015 the Rugby Club have built a new clubhouse and the building has given this part of the village a lovely, permanent meeting and entertaining space which is available to all the community.
Pewsey Vale Rugby Football Club can be contacted through their website if you want information about playing or booking the clubhouse.
